Childhood and adolescence

Ryan Reynolds was born on the 23 of October, 1976, in Canada. Ryan's father worked as a police officer of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, but by the birth of his son he had already resigned. His mother worked as a saleswoman in a store. Ryan was the fourth baby in the family. At the age of 6, Ryan was in school. And in the third grade, he started his career. Ryan was entrusted with a small role in a school production. And after school, Reynolds went to the University Kvountlin, however he didn’t study there for long. As a student Ryan worked in night clubs, yacht clubs, grocery stores, etc. In addition, he gathered a comedy group called “Yellow Snow”.

Early career

Being a teenager Ryan knew he wanted to become a famous actor. He had a good sense of humor and erudition. Therefore, as a boy Reynolds played in the soap opera “Fifteen”. His first serious movies were “Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story”, “Ordinary Magic”, “My name is Kate”, “Odyssey” in 1993-1995 years. And with these roles Ryan attracted attention. Reynolds did not disdain little parts; he starred in such movies as “In Cold Blood”, “When Friendship Kills” and “Life in Wartime”. In the U.S. he quickly became a sought-after actor in Hollywood, but only thanks to the comic gift. In 1998 Ryan got the role as a student in the motion picture “Two guys, pizzeria and a girl” but other than that, he emerged in the picture “Coming Soon”, “Tourist Trap”, “Dick”. Reynolds embodied on the screen a number of vivid characters, so critics welcomed his performance.

However, even though Ryan received a lot of the parts all of them were supportive, for example, the series “The X-Files”, “The Outer Limits”, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”. Ryan didn't have commercial success, but everybody knew him as one of the best actors.

Career Success

In 2001, Ryan starred in the films “Big Monster on Campus”, “We All Fall Down”, “Finder’s Fee”, “Scrubs”. Ryan’s every performance had charm and temperament. A year later, Reynolds became even more popular after the release of movies “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder” and “Buying the Cow”. After that, the actor has already flaunted on a par with Hollywood celebrities. In 2003, the actor again has worked in a number of successful films. This is a “Foolproof” and “The In-Laws”. Ryan has established himself not only in comedies, but also in thrillers like “Blade: Trinity”. This is the last picture of the trilogy of “Blade”, which was put on the comic book. Ryan perfectly performed his part.

Ryan has appeared in a cameo role in the comedy “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle”. Ryan appeared in the company of John Cho and Kal Penn. After a brief lull in Ryan’s film career the movie “Waiting…” directed by Rob Makkittrika came out.

Another success was the romantic comedy “Just Friends” in 2005, where Ryan played alongside Amy Smart and Anna Faris. The same year the movie “School of Life” came out.

Ryan appeared in different movie genres. In 2005, he starred in a remake of the famous horror film “The Amityville Horror”. After the release of the film his popularity became huge. A year later, Ryan Reynolds has finished work on the film “Smokin’ Aces” and played an FBI agent there. This was a French-American-British action movie with a touch of drama and comedy elements. The Movie was quite successful.

Later career

In 2009, Reynolds's movies career went upwards. He embodied the mercenary Deadpool in “X-Men". Later, Ryan demonstrated his comedic abilities in “Proposal”. He kept on growing professionally in drama “Buried”. In the motion picture Ryan portrayed an American employee in Iraq who was kidnapped and buried alive.

Ryan made a great come back in the year of 2011 in “The Lantern Green”. Ryan then emerged in “The Change-Up”. He also voiced two animated movies, “The Croods” and “Turbo”.

In 2014, Reynolds emerged in “The Captive” and “The Voices”. In 2015, three movies with Reynolds will be coming out “Selfless”, “Woman in Gold” and “Criminal”. Now Reynolds works on the superhero movie “Deadpool” which will be out in 2016.

Ryan Reynolds likes to work in cinematography. “It's like a chemistry ... or fireworks. It is useless to “pull” a role or rehearse. It is like driving a Ferrari”.

Personal life

In 2002, Ryan met Alanis Morissette. The couple even announced their engagement, but a few years later they broke up, but are still friends.

In 2008 Ryan engaged with Scarlett Johansson. The wedding took place a few months later. This marriage was the first for both actors. But 2 years later they divorced.

“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it.”

On September 9, 2012 Ryan married Blake Lively, whom he met 11 months prior to their wedding. On December 31, 2014, the couple had a daughter, James.
